4 Strand Weave Lead

This lightweight lead is made in a 4 strand weave with an O ring in the handle.

The aluminium carabiners fitted as standard are 76mm long, weigh just 16 grams and are certified 4Kn – they have a load bearing capability of 899 pounds in weight! We have a selection of colours available. Please add a note at the checkout if you have a preferred colour in mind, otherwise, I am happy to select one to suit.

We have other hooks available if you would prefer something different.

Stainless Steel Trigger Hooks – the traditional dog lead hook is available in different sizes

Black PVD Stainless Steel Trigger Hook – These have a vacuum applied film coating which is resistant to cracks and scratches.  Matt finish.

Manual Locking Carabiner – this hook will give your lead a modern look and provides the security of a locking mechanism.  Just push the slider into place to lock.

Aluminium Self Locking Carabiner – just let the carabiner close and the locking mechanism springs into place.  It is made from aviation grade aluminium and is certified 4kn – it will withstand a force up to 899 pounds.  The carabiner is large, 85mm long, but weighs just 23 grams.  This is the strongest, lightest and most secure option we provide.

Quality Materials 

Made from genuine Paracord 550 sourced by Alfie’s Leads direct from the manufacturer in USA. Our supplier is one of the largest suppliers of braided ‘550’ parachute cord in North America, supplying the military, aerospace and Police with this versatile cord. Survivalists, including Bear Gryllls, won’t go anywhere without it!

Paracord 550 has a breaking strength of 550 pounds making it an ideal material for dog leads and collars. All cord used is 100% nylon, it will not cause friction burns and is comfortable to use. Paracord 550 is lightweight.

Quality Fittings 

All hooks and rings are made from marine grade stainless steel or brass.     70mm swivel snap trigger hooks are fitted as standard, however, these are also available in 80mm and 90mm.
Care and attention 

All items are machine washable, they won’t shrink or stretch and will look like new after washing. Tie a sock (or similar) over the metal parts as this will avoid damage to your washing machine. Allow to dry naturally.

Spray any moving parts of clips/buckles with lubricant occasionally to avoid damage to springs, especially after washing.
